6 pin Euro profile Lock Cylinders are considered to offer a higher standard of security for locks cylinders in PVC doors. They are typically found on multipoint locking systems fitted to PVC doors but could equally be fitted to lock units on wooden or aluminium doors and other locking devices. 6 Pin Cylinders are harder to pick open and will often have hardened pins to prevent drilling. They are not as secure as 6 pin BS 1303 Kite marked versions.

6 pin BS 1303 Kite marked cylinders offer the highest level of security for locks cylinders in PVC doors. They are typically found on multipoint locking systems fitted to PVC doors but could equally be fitted to lock units on wooden or aluminium doors and other locking devices. 6 pin BS 1303 Kite marked cylinders have been tested to resist attack in different ways, for instance: By picking, by drilling and by breaking.

It is a very high security system which consists of a 6 pin mechanism in addition to a secondary side bar mechanism.
